02-06-2015 - Weekly Results

The system ended the week positive but not by much. The changes I made have stabilized the system so there are no more technical issues like I had in the last week of January. I will not add any more charts to the portfolio until the market is acting better - which can happen quickly. I do have several charts ready to turn on when the time is right.

The first week of February produced $498.75
Year to date, the portfolio has produced $10446.75 in profits

02-06-2015 Results

Its all about Timing..... Last night I decided to up the stakes a little. I changed the Russell Chart to trade 5 contracts (was 3) and changed the Bond chart to trade 3 contracts (was 2). I still think this will work, so I'm leaving it that way thru next week (at least).

Today's Action:

 The Russell Chart had a stop loss today - just a little bigger with 5 contracts...

The Bond chart did well, but not quite enough to make up for the loss on the Russell chart.

02-05-2015 Results

Better - Much Better... The market seemed to "make a decision" today. I think this may be the turning point I have been waiting for. If we can start making some trend days, there will be lots of money to be made.

Today's Action:

 The Russell had a perfect day - This is exactly what the system was designed to capture.

Because of the time of day, the Bond chart went long - this was just before the market really picked a direction - anyway, the system worked as designed - As the stock market starts to trend, this should get a lot better.

02-04-2015 Results

This market is still acting funny. The systems are performing, just not as well as in a more stable market. My plan is to hang tight through this period until things seem to stabilize, then I will add more charts back into the fray.

Today's Action:

 The Russell Chart was up about 1800 before coming back down to end with a small winner. This has become a common story recently.

Sorry about the late posting - I haven't been feeling well this week.

Today's Action:

 The Russell Chart got a stop loss - bummer

The Bonds did well today after being down for most of the trade - they made profit right at the end.

02-02-2015 Results

After a lot of analysis over the weekend, I decided to only run the Bonds and Russell charts to start February. The problem that I had near the end of January with the Russell chart is still being fixed - in the mean-time, I moved the Russell chart to my TradeStation account. That fixed the problem for now while I figure how to make multicharts work more like TradeStation.

Today's Action:

 The Russell chart was up early, but when the market dipped, the trailing stop saved it from becoming a loss - you can see that this market was mostly sideways - it never stays that way for very long. I expect things to improve shortly.

The Bonds chart Zig-zagged around between profit and loss all morning - finally getting out with a loss - again, just a lack of direction in the market.
