The market just wanted to go down today - and my programs wanted to go long. All 3 charts were losers today - it happens - and that's the way it is. From the looks of the charts below, it seems like I could have the program just switch directions when it gets to a stop loss, but that's a lot easier said than done - and it doubles the risk - no thanks.

05-25-2015 Results - Memorial Day
I left the systems off today in observance of Memorial Day. Normally on days where the stock market is closed and the futures market closes early (like today), the volume is extremely light and prices seem to drift. Well, the volume was extremely low, but it appears that the systems would have performed anyway - oh well...
This is what my screen looked like this morning:
Live trading starts again tomorrow - only 4 trading days left in May

05-22-2015 Weekly Portfolio Results
It's been an incredible May so far. The market has an early close on Monday for Memorial Day - and based on the past data, I think I will leave the systems off on Monday, so I will start up again on Tuesday. There are 4 more trading days in May.
A few stats:
The 3 chart portfolio generated $18920 in 16 trading days - wow
There have only been 3 losing trades and only two losing days.
The numbers have been very even and consistent.
I think this is a turning point for my little project. While May has certainly been a wonderful month for the systems - and every month won't be like this.... The picture above proves a few things that I think are now undeniable:
1. Fully Automated trading can be done profitably
2. Simple is better - Test it - set it - and leave it alone
3. It is possible to make a living like this - maybe even a really nice living.
The next few months will answer the question of sustainability - can it work over time and make money on a regular basis? Also, when I add more charts in June... will that mess it all up? Let's find out.

05-21-2015 Results
A little more drama today, but a similar great result.
Today's Action:
The first chart took a little heat before getting paid, but everything worked as designed
The 6 minute chart started by going short - then after losing a bit of money, it switched to going long. The program does allow this sometimes undesirable effect, but today it helped more than it hurt.
The 19 minute chart also had a bit of a strange morning. It didn't get in the market until after 9:30 CST - it went short, got paid and called it a day at about 10:40 CST

Another fine day - the first two charts were looking like they were gonna lose (down about 800 together) before they changed to the "right" direction and paid me. Everything is working as designed so far.
