A new month - some new ideas -

The only chart I am running this week that is not new is the "Version 2" of the 7:30 Russell chart. I will run it at 2 contracts this week and re-evaluate the number of contracts for next week.

There are 3 new charts - all set up with range bars. Range bars do not have a time element - they are only based on price and price movement. I am thinking that this type of chart will work well with the system so here we go... All the new charts are starting with only one contract for now.

The first new chart is another early morning S&P chart - I started trading an early S&P chart in January. It did very well but when it started to not do as well, I continued to run it and it took back most of what it made... the stop losses were really big. This chart seems to work better with a much smaller risk profile - It trades only from 3:30 AM to 7:00 AM. I'm looking forward to waking up to profits again.

Next, I have added a chart that trades the mini-gold futures. I have had this one running for a while and it seems to do well - so it earned a shot in the sun - let's see

Lastly, I have added a chart that trade the S&P 400 MidCap futures - It trades only from 9:13 AM to 11:00AM. I have made lots of money from the midcap in the past - so I am looking forward to seeing this one run.

Today's Action:

The midcap made a little on its first day

The early S&P picked the wrong direction today, but the stops losses are small on this system

The 7:30 version 2 Russell chart did OK

The mini-gold chart lost - but see how tight the stops are - when it wins, the winners are much bigger
